WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOCIAL MEDIA AND HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGES?

Social media images are delivered in a lower resolution format. These images are not printable and are for digital purposes, such as posting on social media or a website. High resolution images are printable and with a higher quality format.

HOW TO RECEIVE MY IMAGES AND HOW CAN I EXPECT THEM?

Images are delivered through an online personalised gallery. Within this gallery, you are able to “favourite” images, share the link to your album on social media or in email, and most importantly download all the shots of you and your best friend. After we complete our shoot, you can expect a link emailed to you within 3 days of shooting.

For horse show clients, the gallery is updated within 3 days of the pictures taken. For example, if you show Wednesday, the latest you can expect to have your pictures from that day is Saturday.

CAN I PURCHASE ALL THE RIGHTS TO MY IMAGES?

Yes! Clients are able to purchase the rights to their photos for $5,000. This gives clients full rights to print, edit, alter, and produce the images however they would like. They are sent to them in an only gallery without the watermark as well.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET READY FOR AN EQUINE PORTRAIT SHOOT?

Horse(s) should be clean and tacked in either a bridle or halter. We suggest using some Show Sheen and hoof oil to make the images really pop. Horse(s) should be groomed and tacked by the start of the shoot to optimise our shooting time.

CAN I STILL ORDER PRINTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA IMAGES?

Yes! You can order your prints through us and we produce high resolution prints for you.

CAN I EDIT THE IMAGES IF I DON'T OWN THE RIGHTS TO THEM?

You are not able to edit the images of KS Photography. This includes photoshop, filters, or any form of alteration to the pictures. We understand that social media, such as Instagram, sometimes requires cropping of the images to fit the feed or format. This is acceptable and will not be considered an alteration of the image. Images can be altered with the purchase of full rights to the photos.

For company, business, branding, and product shoots, the full rights to the images are included.

WHAT IS A TRAVEL FEE?

Some shoots require a decent amount of travel to the specific location of shooting. For these shoots, we discuss the distance and a fee that helps cover gas for travel.

WHY CAN I NOT ALTER THE PICTURES OF MYSELF AND MY HORSE?

The images we create together are works of art. KS Photography focuses on bringing out the truest version of yourself and your animals, combined with our creative style and vision. We believe that the images delivered hold the truest expression of our clients and our company combined.

WHAT TIME DO WE PLAN THE SHOOTS FOR?

We want to take advantage of the natural light as much as possible. The best times to shoot are sunrise and sunset. We typically aim for golden hour during sunset. The time frame is a decision we decide upon together.
